Cheech Vyas and Kevin Chipman go have gone viral thanks to the daughter of Jimmy Buffett and a multi-million dollar effort by YouTube to expand its video streaming business.
A new original programming outlet, Reserve Channel, debuted this week with four series, one of which, EX-PATS, features the island’s beer boys. The shows are produced in cooperation with Travel + Leisure magazine and feature those who cut the home-cord, leaving behind a seemingly successful and ordinary existence in search of a place to live their dream life.
In the first episode, Savannah Buffett follows a day in the life of Vyas and Chipman, describing how they made the move from the University of Vermont to St. John to owning the first microbrewery on the island.
If you’ve ever thought about making the move, living the dream, or whatever you want to call it … or just want to know what it’s like to live and work on the island, and get a sense of the island’s community … watch the shows.
Four episodes have been posted, each about 12 minutes long.
