A memorial service for Amos Rutnik will be held Saturday morning at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Cruz Bay.
The 41-year-old husband and father of two was killed in an auto accident when the car he was driving plowed into a hill along Fish Bay Road. Police said he was thrown from the vehicle, not wearing a seat belt.
Rutnik owned Artistic Landscaping in Fish Bay. He was the son of Janet and Andy Rutnik, longtime island residents. Andy founded Guavaberry Farms in Fish Bay and has been a Licensing Commissioner with the VI government. Janet is well known and a prominent artist.
Burial will be at Guavaberry Farms.
