Just in time for the holidays, Friends of the Virgin Islands National Park is holding another fund raiser. This time, though, it's online.
So, beginning Friday, you can shop via your mouse to score deals on vacations, art, and experiences and the proceeds to to the Friends' efforts to support the Park.
This is the group's second such online auction. Last year's generated $15,000; this year the goal is $25K.
Items for bid include two nights at resorts on Virgin Gorda and Jost van Dyke, a dinner by island caterer/chef Mathayom, four nights at Maho, and pottery by Donald Schnell.
The Inquiring Iguana's favorite item is offered by Coral World on St. Thomas.
"This fun filled package includes 4 encounter swims! 2 Sea Lion and 2 Turtle Encounters. You will have an opportunity to touch, pet, and play games with the sea lions ... at the end of the encounter, our sea lions will give you a hug, (and) a big wet kiss." More info about it here.
