One of the best places for island real estate information is Islandia Real Estate's blog. Various sales people post items. The latest is from Amy Dupont. It highlights price reductions for a dozen properties listed by her firm, Islandia.
A quartet of the brokerage's land parcels are being cut an average of 22%, four condos are off 14%, while 4 of its houses for sale are being reduced 20% including one 3-bedroom at Chocolate Hole whose prices has been cut $800,000, or 29%, to $1.95 million.
Dupont writes, "In our current market there are many deals; so don’t miss the boat this time around. You don’t want to say in 2010, 'I wish I bought that property in 2007!'"
A look at the Multiple Listing Service shows 118 residences for sale. (Two are under contract.) That's just three more than were being offered a year ago.
