From the suburban calm of Cherry Hill, New Jersey, one of the Internet’s most notorious has launched a Web log. Henry Blodget, former Merrill Lynch – and disciplined for conflict of interest – analyst has started a Web log.
“Wading back into the Web waters after a few years away,” he wrote on the Web log. “Thanks in advance for including me.”
In his first posting at www.internetoutsider.com, he suggests Microsoft pursue a merger if it wants MSN to survive. There is also a link to a 12-page research report titled, “The Web War is Over – And Microsoft Lost.”
In an “About Me” section of the blog, Blodgett said Internet Outsider “provides informal analysis of Internet companies, stocks, finance, trends and third party research” and is published by Cherry Hill Associates LLC., which he describes as a “fledgling industry analysis company.”
More news about the Internet: Marketplace Radio begins a podcast, Microsoft offers a how-to for podcasters, and a VC-backed Web site for fashionistas adds a network of Web loggers at Internet Daily.
