What could be Adam Curry's "next big thing," and maybe an IPO, went live in beta online overnight. PodShow+ is a one-stop portal for podcasts and independent musicians.

PodShow.com was more than a little shaky. After 30 minutes, I haven't received a password to create an account which allows creation of a podcast "collection." Clicking on a "Podcaster Support" button brought up an error message. Speaking of advertisers, GoDaddy.com is all over the podcast section of the site. Shell Oil and Golden Palace Casino and Poker also have banners. A spokesman for also e-mailed that Master Foods' Uncle Ben, Warner Home Video, HBO's "Lucky Louie," Acura, and Sony Pictures' "Little Man" are running spots in PodShow's programs.
A "Program Guide" has a directory of podcasts, diced into 18 categories. PodShow founder Curry's "Daily Source Code" appears in four of them, and his daughter's "Pod Save the Queen" is at the top of the "Music" queue.
The home page has a "Connect" section for people to post pictures and profiles of themselves. The individual pages let people list their favorite podcasts and see which are the most popular "podsafe music" tracks.
PodShow is a privately-held company, backed by venture capital firms Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, Sequoia Capital, and Sherpalo Ventures.
