CBS TV's ad-supported broadband channel launched at midday.
Innertube is offering a menu of short-form comedy, drama, talk, and reality; no full length episodes of network programs. CBS is negotiating with affiliates to see if some kind of deal, perhaps revenue sharing, can be done.
Innertube will stream three shows a day, with a new program posted Monday through Friday. Original programs will include standalone shows like and shows that extend CBS broadcast programs like "Survivor Live" and "The Big Brother Talk Show." Clips from "Survivor" and "The Amazing Race" will also be offered as will be, along with entire seasons of some past shows. Innertube also invites visitors to e-mail and share video clips across the Web.
Just wait until Countrywide Tire & Rubber sees traffic to its Web site, innertube.com, soar.
